Travel into the cooler highlands of Kintamani for wide views across the Batur caldera. This is a scenic drive and village day, with no mountain climb or pre-dawn start.
After a panorama stop near Penelokan and lunch, continue to Penglipuran to see its orderly village lanes, traditional gateways and bamboo surroundings. Keep the afternoon unhurried, with time for photographs and a prayer break agreed along the route.
